1. History of Robotics
a. Watch the following video and take notes as you watch - you will be answering questions after viewing.

b. Answer the following questions IN YOUR OWN
WORDS. Neatly hand write on paper. This should be
included in your final project.
a. Get to know Sphero. We have 2. You will have to download the app on your phone or ipad. Watch the howto video below. Don't forget to turn on bluetooth and pair it.
b. Use Sphero in the water outside with the baby pool. Bring in a hose to use. What can you program her to do?
a. Get to know your ozobot bit. Watch the above video for an introduction about what the ozobot can do, and how to download the app and program it with color codes. Get large paper from Mrs. Davis and make a track.
b. Download dance groove and program your ozobot to dance!
c. Learn about the new Ozobot EVO.
3. Create a Solar Cockroach
a. Watch the video above, and the how to video below BEFORE starting your project.
b. Review safety with Mrs. Davis: For this project, you will need to solder so you need safety glasses, a fan, hot glue gun, wire cutters, soldering iron, solder, wooden cutting board.
c. Make your solar cockroach, and take outside in the sun to test. Make sure to photograph and video this!

a. The instructions are on a pdf here, from instructables. Read through them completely BEFORE you start this project.
b. Watch this entire video series BEFORE you start your project.
2. Learn to Fly the Drone
a. Plan a time after school when we can fly the drone.
1. Following the class project specifications, create Your own Robotics project. You may use Any of the classroom programmable robots. If needed, you may get ideas from project books in the classroom, or from the internet. All ideas or help not your own need to be documented.
Hints: Don't get in over your head! Watch your time.
2. Create a TableTop display highlighting your project and what you have learned. Include all the pictures , questions, or products you have created. ADD ANY OTHER items/information that you deem appropriate to make the project complete.
3. Be prepared to present your project according to class specifications.
